In 2025 I did something most people told me was either brave or crazy. I quit my software engineering job, packed up my family, and semi-retired abroad on $150,000 invested.

But honestly, the travel bug was not new. Back in college between 2012 and 2016, I was already out there, interning abroad, living in different countries, getting my first real taste of just how differently the world operates when you step outside your own bubble. By the time I took the leap with my family, I had already visited 20+ countries over the last decade.

Those early years planted something in me. The idea that there is a whole world of options most people never consider, because nobody shows them the numbers.

Fast forward to 2025. I took my family out of the US and together we traveled through 10+ countries across Central America, Europe, and Asia. And what I kept seeing, over and over again, was the same quiet revolution happening. People earning in internet money and choosing to live somewhere else. Stretching their money further. Building a life that did not require waiting until 65.

I had been sharing personal finance content for a while, but this experience gave me something new. The real, multicultural, boots-on-the-ground data of what it actually costs to live in different parts of the world. And I realized there was no tool built for this version of financial freedom.

So I built one.
